    Home remedies that actually work

I've always been a skeptic of home remedies, but I found one that actually works for a change:

I have oily skin and suffer from acne breakouts all the time. It gets 10x worse in the summer when its very hot and humid. Although, I wash my face everyday, but it barely helps.

So, I was reading that apple cider vinegar worked really well as a topical. I happened to have a spare bottle of it laying around, so I've been applying it on my skin twice a day. Over the past week, I've had no breakouts, and my skin is really starting to improve in appearance.

I don't know if its just a coincidence, but the apple cider vinegar actually seems to work.

Pros: a $3 bottle lasts forever and ever.
Cons: makes you smell like pickles for 20 minutes after you use it.

    Any other recommended home remedies?

It would have to be vinegar, wouldn't it? I'm going to try this and see if it'll work for me, but I just hope it's worth the smell.

And to contribute, I find dabbing aftershave on a coldsore kills it fairly quick. It's an oldie, but the only one I know.
